Ultram 50 mg is making me nauseous but I need it to take away pain from my ear infection, any suggestions???
I’m also taking the antibiotic Omnicef for the infection it just seems that I haven’t been taking it long enough for the infection to clear up so its still very painful after the ultram wear off

Is the underlying infection being treated as well? This is more important than pain relief, the pain goes away quite rapidly once the infection begins to clear.
I use the old fashion way of using Castor Oil. With an eye dropper (from pharmacy) I put gently warmed (put bottle in hot water for a few minutes) Castor oil (most pharmacies or health food stores carry ), then a small amount of cotton to hold it in. It is healing and consequently takes away pain. Very helpful.
It is the anti-biotic that is making you nauseous not the ultram. Try taking both medicines with food. That may ease the nausea.
Take advil or tylenol – both will work better than the ultram for ear infection pain.
